Shelter day; can't be too early; cold snap; broken water pipe; heads-up; plumbers are expensive; frozen washing machine; water heater won't light; unfreezing water pipe; not worth fixing; good run; comfort and security; not rational on any front; an Old Man's panic; and more in this update! (Late-Breaking News: after I recorded this, the washing machine died, and started smoking! I kid you not!)

A lot of snow; the heavy wet stuff; did my stretches; but we don't, so I don't; more chatter about our New Year's Eve; sake handy; center of the universe; no rush to repeat it; rice pudding; people seem to feel 2023 wasn't a good year for them, but it was pretty good for me; so much more to do; that stupid role-playing game; lots and lots of talk about the Stardrifter RPG; I was never robust; and more, in this update!

Happy New Year; marvelous evening; fish, rice, and shrimp cocktail; a little tipple; "All He Surveys: Volume 02"; a lot more work to do; time to re-read it; cannot stop editing; it's irrational; you learn to live with them; the Stardrifter RPG; broken down the sections; new type of round counter; Bandit's Keep Actual Play; when it breaks; Stardrifter Ultimate Dungeon Terrain; no good for that; abstract system; representative not simulation; Body Zone Combat Chart; I can get past the fence; and more, in this update!

Shelter day; cold and very dry; in the middle of testing the SUDT game board; random scenarios; you shouldn't fight, but if you do, I want it to work; Paizo's (Pathfinder) combat system is crunchy; Stardrifter's combat system isn't as detailed, but it has a number of optional rules; counting ammo gets out of hand; lots of talk about a random test adventure/fight; he dropped to the floor, and lived; I call them steam shovels; called it quits at midnight; expensive lesson; and more, in this update!

(Another old one.) Shelter day; late start; lots of drama at the shelter; the nature of the thing; very strong opinions; we took a break from the Stardrifter RPG; it seems expensive, but it's worth it; December is a write-off; I'm willing to entertain that conversation; climbing the walls; more talk about the front steps (honestly, I'm over-thinking it at this point); short list; working on the Stardrifter Ultimate Dungeon Terrain (SUDT) gaming board; I want it to be around for the ages; assessment video; Swiss Army Knife gaming board; theater-of-the-mind-and-a-half; and more, in this update!
